Air Traffic Kites and Games - Discraft Guide
Discraft's Stability Ratings
Discraft bases its stability ratings on right-handed players with a backhand throw.
Stable Rating of 0: This rating mean that, when thrown straight and flat the disc tends to fly straight and flat for the entire flight.
Understable
Rating of -1, -2 or -3: This refers to the disc's tendency to fade to the right. Understable drivers tend to be easier and more accurate for beginners.
Overstable
Rating of 1, 2 or 3: This refers to the disc's tendency to fade to
the left. Overstable discs are great for hyzers and S-Shots.

| Pro Plastic is a smooth plastic that provides a strong grip. As they are used, discs made with Pro plastic have a tendency to change shape. This gives the disc a custom feel and flight pattern. | Elite-X Plastic provides discs with a stronger grip and a longer glide than discs made with Pro plastic. Elite-X Plastic resists dings and
scratches so it holds up longer than Pro Plastic. | Elite-Z plastic is extremely durable and holds its shape better than other plastics. It provides predictable flight patterns for long periods of time. It reduces friction making it a good choice for discs used to throw turnover shots. | FLX plastic has both a strong grip and a lot of flexibility in all weather conditions. It gives discs stability and predictable flight patterns over long periods of time. It is great for mid-range and putting discs because it tends to stick to the basket. | ESP plastic is a high performance plastic. It is engineered from special polymers that provide a strong grip and flexibility while remaining extremely durable. |
