Hordes of Chaos
Painting Competition
Monday, May 20th thru Saturday, June 22nd
The mighty Legions of
Chaos are amassing on the northern borders, poised to
once again unleash their dark and sinister powers on the
feeble masses of the Old World...
And we’re celebrating with a month of sales and a
painting contest! All current Warhammer Chaos
blisters and boxed sets are now 20% off. Pick up one or
more and paint your own chaos minions. Then bring your
creations into your favorite Air Traffic Store (along
with your receipt!) and enter them in the contest. The
winner in each category will receive a regiment box of
their choice and have a photo of their entry posted on
the Air Traffic Website! In addition, everyone who
enters has a chance to win a copy of the new Warhammer
Skirmish Scenario book by simply writing their name and
phone number on the back of the receipt and placing it
in the raffle! You don’t want to miss this event!
THE CATEGORIES
1. Single Foot Figure: Any Warhammer Chaos figure on
foot. This can be a champion, lesser daemon, standard
bearer,
sorcerer or just about any single figure that fits on a
25x25mm base or smaller. Larger single figures go in
category #5.
2. Single Mounted Figure: Any Warhammer Chaos figure
mounted on a steed or daemonic steed. Base size is
restricted to 40x40mm or a cavalry base.
3. Large Monster/Greater Deamon: Large monsters like
Dragons, Griffons, etc, with or without a rider. Also
includes Greater Daemons. Base size is restricted to
50x50mm or smaller.
4. Chaos Regiment: Regiments of warriors, knights,
lesser daemons, beastmen, dragon ogres, or other. Must
adhere to the minimum unit size and must be presented on
a movement base. (10 figure minimum for foot/5 minimum
for mounted/3 minimum for larger creatures.)
5. Single Chaos Creature: Trolls, Ogres, Minotaurs or
any other single figure that doesn’t fit into one of the
categories above. This includes creations of your own
like a Chaos chicken. Must fit onto a base 50x50mm or
smaller.
6. Youngbloods Crazy Chaos! (ages 14 and under): This is
an opportunity for younger players to compete amongst
each other. Any Warhammer Chaos creation is acceptable
but you may only enter once. If you enter this category
you cannot enter any other category.
THE RULES
• There is no entry fee but you will need an Air Traffic
receipt showing that the miniature you are entering was
purchased at Air Traffic. You must have a valid receipt
for each item you wish to enter. You may only enter at
one Air Traffic store.
• All receipts will be entered into a drawing to win a
copy of the new Warhammer Skirmish Scenario Book.
• Each person may enter once in each category. If you
enter the Youngbloods category you cannot enter any
other category.
• The entry deadline is Friday, June 21st at store
closing. We absolutely cannot accept any entries on
Saturday the 22nd...we really mean it! You may submit
entries anytime after May 20th. To reduce the
possibility of theft or breakage, there will be no
in-and-out privileges once models have been entered. If
you use your models alot, you should enter closer to the
deadline.
• The staff at Air Traffic will strive to take the best
possible care of all models entered into the
competition. However, due to unforeseeable accidents
that may occur, Air Traffic and its employees cannot
accept responsibility for any breakages or theft. Your
choice to enter means that you agree to this rule.
• The judge’s decisions are final. No amount of
pleading, whining or crying will change the outcome.
Bribery however, can be much more effective and
ultimately, sending the judge on an all expense paid
trip to Jamaica will just about guarantee a winning
spot. (Actually, we’re just kidding about that last
bit…except for the trip to Jamaica.)
